Payments and Confirmation
To make a booking you must fill in a booking form and send it to us with appropriate payment.
For bookings made more than 8 weeks before departure a deposit of £100.00 per person is required to confirm your booking. You will then be notified by post of the balance owing, which is then due 8 weeks before departure.
For bookings made within 8 weeks of departure the full amount is payable to confirm your booking.
The client signing the booking form shall be liable for full payment for all those clients to whom the booking form applies, and any person subsequently added to the booking. Payment may be made by cheque only, made payable to A Mountain Chalet.
Cancellation of your holiday
By Us – we will only cancel your holiday if forced to because of unforeseen circumstances or because of non-payment by the client. We will not be responsible for compensation to clients for holidays cancelled at any time due to circumstances beyond our control i.e. threat of war, natural/technical disasters or similar events. We shall have no responsibility or legal liability to compensate the client for loss of opportunity to take the holiday.
By You – If you are obliged to cancel your holiday with us, you must inform us in writing immediately. Clients are advised to send cancellations by recorded delivery. In all cases your deposit will be forfeited. If cancellation is made after the full payment has been made the following refund will be given:
Over 8 weeks before departure date full amount minus deposit
4 –8 weeks before departure 50% of holiday cost
2 – 4 weeks before departure 25% of holiday cost
under 2 weeks before departure 0% of holiday cost
We strongly recommend that you take out insurance at the time of booking against irrecoverable cancellation costs.
Alterations
By Us – should an alteration to any booking need to be made the client will be informed immediately. The client will be offered the choice of accepting the alteration, or a full refund of moneys paid, as long as the client has not arrived at the chalet.
By You – Amendments or alterations to a booking must be made in writing to A Mountain Chalet from the person who signed the booking form originally.
Airport Transfers
We will make every effort to ensure we are at the airport to collect you and return you to the airport in good time to catch your return flight.
To the best of our ability we will ensure that our vehicle is mechanically sound but cannot be held responsible for any unforeseen circumstances such as breakdown, bad weather, congestion or road conditions.
You are responsible for ensuring we have the correct information regarding your flights.
Behaviour
While at Chalet Jeode all clients are expected to behave in an orderly and acceptable manner. Should their behaviour threaten to cause damage, distress, danger or annoyance to other guests, any contractual obligations will be terminated and the persons will be required to leave the premises. The guilty party will be liable for the cost of any damage so caused.
Insurance
It is essential that you are insured at the time you make a reservation and for the duration of your stay with A Mountain Chalet. AS A NOTE ABOUT INSURANCE: Please make sure you have a current EHIC as most insurance policies only pay out for what the EHIC does not cover.
Responsibility
A Mountain Chalet cannot accept responsibility for any injury or mishap to yourself or your property. In particular for the effects of strikes, wars, riots, robbery, sickness or other such happenings. We strongly recommend that you take out appropriate insurance at the time of booking.
